SchiefRund - (TiltRound) is an exhibition
concept made for the Museum
of Art in Ahlen showing a
retrospective of design in the 80s
in Germany.
The curators wanted an arrangement
of various museum rooms to become
individual topic rooms exhibiting
objects so conveying the aura of
the copious and dazzling 80s.
Central theme of the concept was
the use of packaging material.
Adapted to the topics the objects
were presented using numbers of
interpretations of ‘packaging’.
The playful handling of the concept
emphasises the ready-made essence,
spontaneity and the
extemporaneous charm of German design
of that time.
Design in co-operation with Mechthild Seidemann for the Museum of Art / Ahlen.
